We Participate in a discussion on the Build to Rent Real Estate Model and Its Financing

Our founding partner participated in the debate organized by Economía 3 on the Build to Rent real estate model, a novel and booming formula that involves the construction of homes intended directly for rental. José Roca contributed key insights on the financing of these projects. In his opinion, the challenge that Kaizen Consulting faces is making them viable and finding the formulas to economically support developers: “It must be understood that the investments required by this formula must be paid by someone, and often the developer cannot cover 100% of the investment. It is necessary to consider all variables to make the project viable, such as combining various financiers or exploring the alternative financing market.”

This is a common challenge for any emerging sector: their projects require greater support to move forward. Financial backing can be more complex to obtain for projects in a less established field. The Kaizen Consulting team is always committed to ensuring good projects move forward and do not stall due to lack of liquidity. This factor is especially relevant in the real estate sector and particularly in Build to Rent. Contact Kaizen Consulting for any advisory inquiries on financing business projects.

The discussion panel included opinions from the Secretary of Housing of the Valencian Generalitat, Sebastián Fernández; the President of Vareser, Alejandro Almenar; the partner of Leckman Urbanistas, Blanca Marín; the President of the Association of Developers APROVA, Antonio Olmedo; and the CEO of Urbanitae, Diego Bestard. The moderator was the director of Economía 3, Elisa Valero.
