The digital portal Interfaz Magazine published an interview with our managing partner, titled “José Roca: How to Secure 100 Million in Financing in Two Years.” In it, he highlights that he founded Kaizen Consulting just two years ago, leveraging his banking experience to launch a consultancy specialized in maximizing companies’ financing options. This offering has met a growing need among businesses: the search for liquidity, which was intensified by the pandemic. The numbers speak for themselves.
José Roca emphasizes that the Kaizen Consulting team has secured over 100 million euros in financing in just over two years. “Our forecast for this fiscal year 2022 is to obtain over 70 million euros,” he adds. The key, according to Roca, is “treating each client as if they were Kaizen’s only client. This is easy to say but very difficult to do. It requires thoroughly analyzing each client because every company is different, even within the same sector: each has its own specific circumstances and needs, regardless of size or financial health. This initial diagnosis is done meticulously, allowing us to approach the right financiers and secure the necessary funding to ensure each client’s business plans are fulfilled. We can provide liquidity to companies whether they are in a growth phase, restructuring debt, or simply seeking to ensure they have enough financiers to face the complex and uncertain situations we live in.”
In the interview, Roca underscores the necessity for small and medium-sized enterprises to explore new financing channels: “This is a process, and more SMEs are becoming prepared, though it’s vital to professionalize the economic-financial department. Besides obtaining financing, we also offer consultancy services and are increasingly involved with more clients: developing business plans, monitoring them monthly, assisting in management and decision-making, and ensuring that the priority is always the bottom line, with a daily focus but also a medium-term vision.” Among the formulas Roca recommends are: “issuing a bond, going public, monetizing balance sheet assets through rentback or leaseback, taking on debt with a single bullet repayment at loan maturity… There are practically tailored solutions to meet the needs of each company.”
